Has anyone had any success with Colon Cleansing? I've seen some information that indicates that it might be helpful for psoriasis. There seems to be several methods, and hundreds of products, though.
Any insight would be appreciated.
Thanks !!!

Hello,
I've have read some materials that go both ways. I haven't tried it (yet) so I can't give any personal experience. But, I have been reading Dr. Jensen's book on bowel care. Whether or not it is helpful for p, I think a lot of it makes some sense. There have been many people who have done this and have had just a better sense of health and well being. Since I've had bowel 'problems' and p since the birth of my daughter, I'm going to give it a try. I'm not going to do the the 'cleansing' part - but I am going to fast and take the supplements and laxatives and see how it goes. I'll keep you posted.

Have tried it- I was always nauseous and thought I would de-toxify myself. First of all, it is hard to find a good cleansing system- my husband, daughter and I all tried what was supposed to be a good one- at our local health food store. They felt a little better, but all it did was give me the runs ! And it made absolutely no difference in my P.

Over 10 years ago I went to a top-knotch colon cleansing place in Houston, Texas while starting the Pagano diet. Well, diet wasn't the answer for me and I still have P although managed with Humira.
I found the colon cleansing a positive addition to over good health but in and of itself is not the answer to much. I think it's a great way to being a new eating and exercise plan.
I also think that after enough time if you just change your eating and possibly experiment with supplements you can achieve good health.
Whatever you do, only go to a place that comes recommended and looks clean and comfortable.
I don't know anything about home kits. I know there's a ton of products out there to help you cleanse but I think a slow and gradual change in diet and the development of good bowel habits will do the trick.
I recommend Deidre Earles book. http://www.yourhealingdiet.net/
But there's a ton of stuff out there.
Good luck and keep us posted.

hello , i don't know if it works for everybody . but flax seeds is a miraculous remedy for colon cleansing , and it's natural . i take 1 full spoon of flax seed (the real raw seed) every day and i never had bowel problem anymore . the seed gets 'gelatinous' inside intestin washing away everything .
how to use ? you can either sprinkle the seed in the salada or food , or put the seed in a glass of water during the night and drink it after .
i always drink it slightly blended in a fruit shake .

Cleansing your colon surely can't hurt you even if it doesn't help you with your p. Just this afternoon I was talking to my mother who happens to be into health food and she said that intestines are like a city sewer. So I plan to buy a colon cleanser tomorrow. I saw one before (forgot the name) and under ingredients it listed nothing but teas that my mother drinks when she wants to cleanse herself. I think the bottle was in the diet section of Walgreens. I hope the best for you.
