Hi. I am new to this board and just wanted to introduce myself. I have had p since the age of 18. I am now 45. I have four different types of p (guttate, plaque, vulgaris, and inverse) along with psoriatic arthritis. I just found a new dermatologist and I hope he can help me; however, I do not have insurance and know that the costs of medications can be very staggering. Do any of you know of any pharmacy assist programs that cover p. medications? Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thank you!

Hi, and welcome.
I know how expense the p medications are. Even with medical insurance, I still pay between $15 - $35 per script. But that's way better than the actual cost of these drugs.
I have a HMO group plan for one, available here in PA and I'm sure other states. It's fairly reasonable (although like everything else it's been going up the past few years) and has good health coverage including prescriptions. It would be way less expensive than having to purchase the p meds out of pocket.
Sorry but I don't know of any pharmacy assist programs. If you'd like more info on this HMO, let me know.
Regards,
Howard
