3rd shot enbrel done!!!

Hi, had my third shot 2nd at home, i am to nervous to give them to myself so i have my hubby give me the shot, i have the syringe if i had the easy one i could probably do it!!! I think my skin is looking better it is hard to tell, my legs are the worst and they seem to be fading i have noticed not as much flaking so that is good. I am not as itchy as i was a week ago, in a couple more weeks i should be doing much better, i havent had any side effect yet no site reaction either, it does sting a little when the meds go into my leg and right after the spot hurts if i press on it, that goes away within seconds, overall feeling real good!! Maybe i can shave my legs soon!!!!!!

Good for you, and for your husband too! my husband RUNS when he sees me take my needle out...not sure I would want him to inject me anyway lol. :p

Best iof luck with the Enbrel. That's wonderful that it is taking effect so quickly. Was a good month and a half before my injections really started to have a noticeable effect. Beenj out of meds for a while now but will finally be getting in a batch of shots tomorrow.

What dosage are you taking per week? Any other meds that you take as a supplement to them? I'm hoping on doubling up some MTX along with the Enbrel if I can find a way to the prescription filled cheap somewhere.

My dame would always do the injections for me this past year that we were still living together. Gonna be hard for me to give the shots to myself when they come in tomorrow.

I am currently taking 50ml twice a week, i will go down to once a week in a couple months, i will keep you posted!!!! took my fourth shot friday next one on tues!!!

Wow! It took a couple weeks before I started to see any clearing at all. After that it went pretty quick.

Monday was my fourth injection. I take 50 mg two times a week. I have the sure shot. Every injection I have to get my nerve up to push that button but after I do its not bad. It may be wishfull thinking but I feel I started to see results after my second shot. My joints are feeling much better and I have been able to sleep all night with a few exceptions now that then.

My skin is effected on scalp, arms, trunk, and legs. I noticed all spots are not as thick, but did have some increase in scalling and itching but that went away. My arms are showing the fastest with being thinned out and less red. I feel very positive on this treatment. My only concern is how long to continue this. Doc said after 2 or 3 months I will cut back to one injection a week.
