Hi Pso Family,

everyday is a struggle for me to fight pso and also live with another non cureable buddy of mind called tinnitue (ringing in the ears) and it is very hard but i keep living and trying new things to help with my very bad scalp pso, i am taking a J&J baby oil bath = i pourd 15-20oz of the baby oil from the fron to the back of the scalp and it helps a little with clearing the junk from my scalp, now the fun part is going to be combing the flakes out for a few hours and then trying to get the baby oil out of my hair/scalp after a few washes.

I am here for all of you as you are for me and less you all, together we can and will make a difference!

Hi there,

Having done all kinds of things to my scalp, the most non-helpful was doing precisely what you did: pour more than is needed to get the scale out. One thing I know for SURE about my scalp psoriasis is that my scalp does not like to be shampooed. Naturally, I have to use shampoo to clean my hair, but I dilute it. I also use shampoos for sensitive scalp, like Free & Clear and fragrance-free brands. You described elsewhere the emergence of little bumps around your forehead. That was my sign, too! What usually followed was massive irritation hours later, dryness for the next few days, and all kinds of new eruptions. When I see those bumps, I know what comes. Everytime I do see them, it always follows irritating the scalp/skin in some way: too much shampoo, too much scratching, too much rubbing, too much chemical including too much medication, and too much picking.

to be quite honest with you, after i have this baby oil bath which i have another 7-8 hours till i take a shower, this does help a bit..i had upto 2 inches full of flakes in a row in my hair and was almost going to shave it but i took a baby oil bath of of despreation and slept on it and then in mornng woke up and took a shower and then spent 3-4 hours taking those 2 nches full of nasty flakes out of my hair and had some hair pulled out. the only problem was that nasty greasy look that my hair had and that will again be an issue and pulling out the flakes, but this is what works unfortunatly and

every once inawhile i have to do this, this baby oil shower is like using the p&s shampoo and leaving it on the calp for 10-15 hours.
