Osteoporosis

Hi all, I haven't posted in a while but have a question. A while back a man posted that he had severe osteoporosis and was put on Forteo, a daily shot. I wonder if anyone has heard from him. I too have severe osteo and don't know what treatment to try. I have tried actonel and it bothered my stomach big time. In 2 years my spine has gone from a -2.7 to a -3.4. I take Enbrel and wonder if anyone else is in the same boat. What do you use, ect. Thanks. Linda

My mother in law has osteoporosis and she's been on Forteo for almost a year now. Sorry I don't know the numbers, but she did a bone density test and showed significant improvement. Has no problem with the shots. She did the pills as well and they didn't sit well with her. She has had surgery for vertrebral fractures, so we're hoping this continues to work for her.
