Ok, here's the deal. I woke up last Monday with stomach flu that lasted until Thursday. Then Friday morning woke up at 4:30 A.M. with the stomach thing again. Ever since then I've been sneezing alot and now the throat is scratchy.

My question is, due to taking Enbrel, you know where that leaves my immune system. So how long do I wait to go see the PCP? Right now I am really wearing down and my sleep pattern is so messed up I'm not resting at night.

Should I let it run its course and get over it myself (if possible) or go to the Dr?

Prayers,
Tilldee

Go to the doctor! My doctors have told me that you have to be extra careful when you are on these medications because your immune system can't fight off infections well. For example, a cold can easily turn into pneumonia. Don't risk it. Go to the doctor tomorrow or better yet, call them today for advice!

You go immediately. You need to be medicated so it doesn't turn bacterial on you.

Don't walk, run! Call them immediately.

There is no one in today, so first thing tomorrow I'm on the phone. Thanks all for the info. It sure is good to have folks out here that I can address questions to that have been there.

Prayers,
Tilldee

Hey how about we all pray for each other? We can set a time for us to do it so that we are all in agreement at the same time. Sound good? Tildee my family just prayed for you so pop me a note and let me know how you are feeling.

You know what Re, my flu junk is still there, but my PsA pain is so much better this evening. I was just telling my niece on the phone that I just wasn't in as much pain this evening. So hey, you know why. And thank you my southern friends for the much needed prayers. I will certainly do the same for you.

I think a prayer time would be a fantastic thing for all of us to do. I agree, just tell me when. Heaven will be ringing with all our prayers coming in at the same time.

Prayers & God Bless,
Tilldee

I'm not Catholic but a friend of mine mentioned there is a saint that you pray to specifically for arthritis. He said he's going to say a prayer for me to him, which is very sweet.

I will continue praying that all of us get better soon.

Update: I went to the Dr. today and he gave me a steroid shot and put me on Amoxocillian and I need to stay on my Allegra D. So I stopped and stocked up on lots of yogurt to try and build up my good bacteria. The throat doesn't feel quite as bad as it did, but I'm still having my highs and lows. It's weird, but I'll feel half way decent and then crash. I didn't know how much conjestion was on my chest until I was driving home and the steroid kicked in and I could tell it wasn't as heavy as it had been, and I didn't even know.

So thank you all for your prayers and well wishes. I certainly used them all.

Love & Prayers,
Tilldee

He is the Saint for Arthritis. Anyone who wants one of his medals, let me know. I can mail them. I get them from the Irish store in Jum Thorpe and I will be going up there soon. They only cost about a dollar.

Hows that from a non practicing Catholic?????? And I even went to Catholic school...go figure!
