View Full Version : Let's ALL try this
okay yall, we know that we will always have pain. That is certain, but I want to see if we can try something different. I don't remember exactly how it is versed but it refers to this: "Two or more gather in my name and ask upon me for anything and it shall be done." I know that is not verbatum but let us all decide on a time and just ask that God always be with us to lighten our burdens as he sees fit. My daddy used to tell us that we are all Gods children and we should pray one for another daily. I do ask for God to look over all of you. So let us all do it together. How does Thursday night at 6:00 p.m. central time sound? Let me know.
Hey can't hurt cause we need all the help we can get. I don't need complete healing but help dealing with all of the things that go with p and pa.

I think what you are trying to start here is a prayer chain.
You know they have them for Cardiac patients, so I don't think this is a bad idea. That being said, Im kinda mad at God right now....so your gonna have to do the praying for me ok?
elaine of course my dear I will do it for you. What's up? share it and lighten your load sweetie.

I live in Alaska so with all of the time zone changes I will be teaching an afternoon class at 6 pm your time. However, I will give the prayer a spin when I finish my class. I do not think God will mind. I believe he looks at our hearts and intents, and I intend to be with you all.
I admit that the pain can really get to me. I've been through five different meds and still no relief. I hope someday there will be a med that gives me relief. Until then I pray. The problem of course is,what do I pray for. I really haven't felt led to pray for healing. I really believe God is putting me through this fire to make me a better person and for some purpose in the future. So, like you I pray for strength to endure, compassion from those who have to deal with me in my pain, and the fortitude to keep my faith throughout this whole ordeal. I count myself blessed to be going through this "trial" because I will not be given more than I can handle, and God must think I can handle a lot because there are days.......as you know.
So, I'm with you on Thursday when I finish teachng my class. Take care
and may God bless you and keep you strong and joyful despite this disease.

Yeppers, sounds like a plan to me. I'll be right with ya'll praying for our strength and knowledge to endure our burdens and for all the folks out there that are worse off than we are. Also, let's pray for the folks in our lives and jobs for their understanding of us. And I want to pray for wisdom that someday, there will be cure.
Re, prayers sent up for you sweetie and you too, Elaine.

Stress, stress and more. Feeling a little bit anxious over financial stuff, Christmas here...and the like, three legal cases (1 where Im a witness in a veru serious criminal matter), now this hidious bus driver, can't seem to get any of the situations fully resolved. I have a freind who is very spiritual...keeps remiding me "IM RIGHT WHERE I NEED TO BE" but I have my doubts. Either God is working OT somewhere or he thinks putting this much on my plate at one time will keep me busy so I don't have to pay attentin to the pain. I dunno!
The loss of my beloved Simba, now my hubby is having some serious back pain. Bills are piling up from when he had his diverticulitis in August......, my mother is very stressed over my sister's alcohol addition (she's getting worse by the day). Mom's stress level goes up, so does her Bipolar disease, namely the paranoia.....and Im the only one she trusts to talk to.
I don't want it to sound like "oh poor me"...Im sure others around me and even here have it lots worse. I will be going to Houston on the 6th...can't wait for that down home southern hospitality....Can you imagine a Yankee that feels better in the south????lol My MIL is having knee replacement..I have to be there (nursing skills are warranted) and I could use the heat.
Anyway...I don't want this to sound like a sob story! Just a little mad at God right now. Can't find the peace within to pray. Too full of worry..especially about how my daughter is going to get to school when Im in Houston! I refuse to put her on that bus from h*ll.

It's okay Elaine, when we're too tired to pray, God still knows what's in our hearts. Maybe He just knew that all of those situations need a champion, and picked you for the job. We'll do your praying for you for the time being until you get back in a good place. However, I'm a firm beliver that evil forces work in our lives too, to make us doubt our faith.

In Ecclesiates 4:9
Two people are better off than one, for they can help each other succeed. If one person falls the other can reach out and help, but someone who falls alone is in real trouble.
God didn't create us to go through this world alone. I don't just mean a "mate' either, we are ALL going through this "STUFF" for a reason. It is up to us to find the reason and how can we use it, learn from it and teach from it.
We have all been mad at God, we are human! We feel pain, anger etc. Realize that God didn't do this to us,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,He allows it to happen to us.
Ask for forgiveness of being mad and him and praise him for all the blessings we have. Obviously we all have electricity or we wouldn't be on this computer or heck we wouldn't have a computer.
Let's keep the prayers coming,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
HINT: I did this thing on my cell phone through the clock and the calendar that goes off at 2pm every day with a really pretty chime. It's to remind me to stop what I'm doing and thank God for the day and my blessings.
I joke with my customers and tell them GOD IS CALLING
Try it!

That's a good idea and I'm going to see if my cell has that function. I'm pretty sure it has reminders on it. Thanks for the idea. :D

I heard a sermon on the radio today and I thought it was speaking to US.
Every difficult or tragic experience we have had in our lives we have grown from it or learned something from it. Divorce, death, breakup, job loss etc. We usually become stronger individuals for going through those times. For those people who have never experienced those pains are probably not aware how tramatic it can be but also how much stronger it can make you.
Think about the most tragic or stressfull time you have had in your life.
Are you a stronger person for going through it?
Would you do it again? Would you WANT to do it again?
Could you honestly do it again if you had to?
Would you react differently now?
God is allowing us ALL to go through our PsA together, however we are all different and in different stages of PsA. For those of you who have had it for years, you are such a blessing to us that are scared and don't know where to turn. You now take the time to educate and comfort us. You are being used by God, embrace it! To us newbie's we have to learn to be patient and learn to educate ourselves. We too will learn from this.
If we remember the good then we won't drown out the bad.
By NO means am I saying that there aren't bad days, I dropped a heavy travel cart on my foot last night and found myself crying hysterically in pain on the floor and thought I broke my foot again,,,,,,,,,,,I KNOW PAIN TOO. Hopefully I didn't break my toe again,,,,,,,,,,oh well what can I do,,,,,,,,JUST PRAY.
Have a blessed day everyone and give THANKS in ALL THINGS!

malibu 2, wow that was fabulous! As I read it I cried. It spoke directly to me. I have learned from every tough thing that has happened. In 2004 my husband had two brain surgeries (Chiari I Malformation) and from then on he was at Vanderbilt hospital more than home. At one time I was told by 7 doctors in the spann of less than to hours that my hubby/bestest friend would not be alive by dawn. That was on a Friday night(July 9 2004) He was still with me. I was then told he would not make it through the weekend. He was still alive Monday morning. Then I was told he would have severe brain damage. I told the doc " Gee guys he had that before the first surgery" You see he and I believe in God and laughter we have always used humor in the face of every bad thing that has ever happened to our family. It lets you breath. Yes that expereince made me strong. I had no one except my kids. By I always had God. Not even my hubby's family came around. (some of them live 15 minutes away) I am stronger, don't want to do it again but if that was what I had to do. Yes I would do it again. There were times when I was in the car by myself but I was never alone. I have rambled enough, sorry.

Rich, so sorry to hear that your mom's cat had to be put to sleep. Sounds like the cat had special memories for her.
I had been thinking about the group prayer all day at work. But I got busy and forgot about it once I was home. So, I prayed about 45 minutes later that the suggested time. But I'm sure that didn't matter, just as long as I prayed.
RichJ I am sooo sorry about your mom's cat. I checked the site before prayer and so I prayed for her and to let her dream of her beloved cat so she can have some peace in her heart.
Yall, if you prayed later it is cool cause you did it anyway. We were all in agreement and will always be. God knows our hearts. I do know that we are all in this together.
I am glad I found all of you. You are my family! I love you all.

The first of many prayer times and no, I was unable to be right on time, but it doesn't matter when, just as long as you do. But you know, even though I was a little late, when I started praying for this group and families, it was as if I was seeing a light within that held so much energy. It was really amazing. Let's keep this one going.
Love & Prayers,

Rich - I'm sorry about your mom's cat. It's incredibly difficult losing a pet. They are like family and in some cases, even better than family.
I was late with my prayers as well. But, I don't think that matters.

Helloooooooooooooo PA Family
I ask you this,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,CAN YOU FEEL THE LOVE HERE?????
I have something I will share with you and you guys can make them for yourself or for Christmas gifts.
Buy a really pretty Jar with lid (not clear) It can be a small jar possibly 1 - 2 cup size
Cut small pieces of colored paper and punch a hole at one end of each piece.
String the paper on a piece of ribbon and tie it to the top or handle of the jar.
You can print out a little tag that says,,,,
This is your BLESSINGS JAR, clear your thoughts and take a moment to write down every blessing your have (one per piece of paper) and place it in your jar. Whenever you are blessed with another gift, write it down and put it in the jar.
THEN,,,,,,,,,when days are tough and life is not pleasant,,,,,,,,open your jar and pick out ONE of your blessings,,,,,,,,,,read it and pray over that blessing and thank God for that blessing. Also, thank God for the challenge you are going through TODAY because that will make you a stronger person TOMORROW. Place your blessing back in the jar.
Have a blessed day!
