I am excited that humira is working well -psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis
seem to be moderating. I am 69 years old and spent most of my 30-or so years with psoriasis mostly dening it - or at least denying its impact on my life. I joined the national psoriasis association in gratitude and in recognitiion of its good work.
I have just changed my prescription plan to aaarp medicare prescription saver in order to be able to afford the drug at $ 5,000. - plus instead of the $16,000. it would have cost with an earlier insurance plan - only waitiing now for the turn of the new year to get it into effect and to be sure my doctor's pre-approval will work.
The only other important personal thing is sad - I just was told that a wonderful commisssion for a church would not go through because a capital campaign was not approved and that is a terrible loss.
It is the middle of the night and I wasn't sleeping very well so my mind could go off to other issues. Better to stop.

Hi Eamber,
Welcome to the board. Nice to meet you. I'm glad to hear that you're getting relief from the Humira. :) I'm glad to hear that the AARP's insurance plan should cover it. If you have any problems, please contact the NPF. They have an insurance advocay service that goes to bat for people who are having insurance issues.
I just posted a copy of your introduction to us in a brand new thread. Here's a link (click here (http://www.psoriasis.org/forum/showthread.php?t=27945)) to it. I figured that you would get a better response that way.
Good luck!
Keep us posted.
I look forward to getting to know you better.
Mike
