I got curious, has any one ever applied the fish oil capsule to their skin? I took a leap and applied it tonite, it stunk to high heavens but after washing it off, my hands are so flexible, Has anyone else tried this or heard of anybody using it this way?
I take them internally but, you know us, we will try anything once :)!!

I think what you experienced was just the oil smoothing out your skin. But for that matter, any skin oil will do that. I take been taking 1000mg fish capsules twice a day for over a year now and have yet to notice any difference in my Psoriasis. I'm thinking about stopping it all together. Guess it's good for my heart though.

I also have been taking fish oil for several months. I haven't seen much of a difference in my hands and feet, but my fingernails are almost normal again! I believe it's from the fish oil supplement, plus I take selenium, chromium picolate, and vitamin E.
I have 4 fingernails that were really awful and painful. No more. I won't ever quit taking it.

I currently live in Germany and go to a German Dermatologist. Their philosophy of treatment is my different than what I experienced in the US.
I've never tried it on my skin, but I'm a very firm believer in taking this.
She has me taking 4X1000 mg Solgar Omega-3 "700" (Fish Oil) per day. Also, I'm on a mineral supplement that includes calcium, magnesium, iron, manganese, and copper. It's a German brand name called Inzelloval, but I can't find a US equivalent.
She has me taking salt baths every night (2.5 lbs salt per tub) and a topical cortisone cream (custom mixed by pharmacist).
I've had the best improvement than I've ever experienced in 15 years. Does anyone else have a treatment therapy like this? I'm beginning to wonder if it's the fish oil capsules and the mineral supplements as I've tried the other therapies alone and haven't had the same results.
