Hi and Happy Holidays to All,
I have just been catching up on a lot of additions to the message board since my last visit. There are so many that I want to reply about but right now I thought that I would just tell you the latest with me. I have PA, the fingernail mess, and pustular psoraisis on my feet and fingers, and occassional elbow and head spots. I started Enbrel a few weeks ago and it is the greatest thing that could happen. So far I have no side effects and just feel good. I am almost pain free and the pustular problem has stopped. I don't know if there is ever any hope for the messed up fingernails but I can deal with that in order to be pain free. I know that not every med works for everyone but if any of you have a chance to try the Enbrel please give it a chance. I am a new person thanks to the injections that I administer to myself twice weekly. Ask your rheumy about it.
Kathy

Hello Kathy,I also have pso. of the nails. I am in a clinical study for the approval of enbrel for psoriasis.I took the shots for 24 weeks and the results are amazing! I had little stubs of nails when I joined the study in April and was in so much pain from pso. in my nails and other places.Today on Dec.27th you would never know I ever had it. I am the only patient in the study who reached zero( meaning I was clear) in the study group. My doctors in Boston tell me they have never seen a drug work like this before! I'm glad that enbrel is helping so many other people and hopefully the fda will approve this for psoriasis quickly. Keep me posted on your progress......Maryann

When my P flared with pustular spots on legs and feet and disgusting fingernails and toenails, I agreed to Methotrexate with fantastic results. My fingernails have cleared, the pustular spots also except that the previous areas remain darker than normal.
Hope you have the same success.
