I have had psoriatic arthritis for about 17 years and after taking every anti inflamitory known to man and methotrexate for 8 of those years I am currently on relafin. A year ago I had swelling on my right knee and my Arthritis Doctor withdrew the fluid had it analyzed and told me to get an xray of the knee. The xray report showed a tumor on the side of my knee which alerted my Arthritis Doctor to have me contact an Orthopedic Surgeon. After an MRI and a total body scan xray they found 4 more spots.
However, all of the spots are at joints and none are found on any mid-bone areas. This has led the OS to determine that this is not bone cancer (no pain associated with the spots) and could be psoriasis of the bone. With continued monitoring and xrays no changes in the spots has accured over the past year. The only way to really find out what this is would be a bone biopsy.
Has anyone ever heard of psoriasis on the bone?
