pain meds that dont work!

Ultram, is this a joke? my doctor gave me a script of it today and when I had it filled I couldnt even hold a pen, I then noticed that it was filled for 90 pills with 2 refills, LOL, of course this must be a joke, this is a sugar pill right, bad joke if it is cause I went off sugar last month....I told her I only have to take pain meds about 3-4 times a year and it is usually vicodin, hubby just transferred out of the narcotics dept at the police dept. so its not like I am a vicodin junkie WHAT IS WRONG WITH THIS WOMAN, I am in pain and she gives me m and m's. Another long night with pain, wish she could live one night with it just so she would understand....

You know what you could try is Hydroco/apap that works pretty well it can keep you up at night and if your a smoker watch out cause for some reason ir makes you want to smoke evan more andother one to try is Neurontin thats good for ichting I knwo that I itch like crazy right after I get into bed or sit down for the night... Take a few of those and a few hydroco and relax but you knwo that nothing really helps me hopefully it will for you Good Luck! :( Adrienne

I have some Percociet 7.5 (no generic).
They work well. Take it before bed, and you will sleep all night.

Call your doctor and TELL him you didn't get a good response to the Ultram and you want to try a different pain med.

Some people do very well with Ultram, plus it is supposedly non-addicting (there is some controversy about that, but at least it is less addicting than most). My mom finds Ultram to be very helpful for her severe OA.

But just because YOU happen not to respond well to it doesn't mean you shouldn't just TELL the doctor your experience. He should be willing to give you a different pain medication.
