Just wondering...my insurance (blue cross/ blue shield of florida) said they won't cover it...completely out of pocket. That sucks..

:)I did find something that is helping on my face...protopic...I haven't had any problems in the week I've been using it...no burning, stinging...nothing. My Olux foam on the other hand, burned and stung for about 5-10 minutes on my scalp. (probably because of the open cuts from scratching) plus my insurance copay was $80 for the 2 scripts!!!!!

Has anyones insurance covered the amevive?

I have insurance through Humana (HMO). I live in Illinois. I have a $10 co-pay every time I see any dr. and have a co-pay for medication, anywhere from $5-35 depending on the medication. I just found out that I will have full coverage for Amevive, I don't have to pay the medication co-pay, just the $10 for a dr. visit.

I am going to see a doc on the 31st to try Amevive. I am fighting with my insurance company right now to get them to cover it before I go to the doc. Hopefully, they will. I live in Wisconsin and have AHC. Anyone else?:)
