Anyone here ever try THE MASTER CLEANSE?...i have heard of people fasting for a couple days and their p completely clears...then its just a matter of figuring out what foods cause them to flare and avoid them...i have been trying to do this by eating healthy and think that the cleanse is a good way to start not to mention its health benefits...just curious if anyone has done this and what success they've had if any...my aunt sent me this link that is a modified version of the master cleanse called the ultimate fast...which is the master cleanse plus a modification for parasites cleanse...thinking about doing this in about a month or so and curious if anyone has ever done anything like this and how their p reacted to it...any thoughts or input would be greatly appreciated...

I read most of the link that you posted and it sounds like a load of bull plop to me (pardon my french). If you are going to try this method I'd do more research into it before you go ahead. Also try to research the effects of fasting on the human body if you can. I would think it would add stress which would make your P flare up but that is just my guess. Do some research into it first and try to stay safe and healthy. I think God made our body's to function like this for a reason and I don't think they where meant to be deprived of fuel. Hope everything works out for the best.

I looked at the link. It seems to be a variation of the Pagano method, which among other things, requires changes in diet, spinal manipulation (he's a chiropractor, what a surprise) and flushing toxins out of the system through the use of enemas. Needless to say Pagano is kind of controversial around here. Some people who post here stated that their p has been helped by following the Pagano diet. From what I understand, he recommeds avoiding vegetables from the nightshade family. Those vegetables include tomatoes, eggplants, peppers and potatoes. There a couple of people who posted that their p has been helped by avoiding dairy products or foods and beverages with yeast in them (i.e., baked goods and beer). I don't know if changing your diet will help, but I would try to eliminate certain foods from my diet before I started flushing my system.
Just me $0.02.

thanks for the responses...i have already changed my diet a great deal...i was eating crap junk foods and now i am eating very healthy save for one meal a week that satisfies all my cravings during the week...couple reasons i am planning on trying this...one...i have heard that people have had success in clearing their p in fasting and then slowly adding different foods to find out what foods they should avoid to keep clear...another is my aunt (doesn't have p but has had cancer 2 times) sent me the link and said she went thru this or a modified version and has never felt better...anyway i just wanted to see if anyone here has tried it and what their results were...i will and always do research extensively any cleanse or treatment that i am considering before tryin it...and will discontinue immediately if i notice my p reacting negatively...thanks for your responses and concerns...mike

I also looked at some of the link you posted and I agree it sounds like bull plop....Why don't you print some of it and take it to your doctor when you go and see what he says? I think its always just best to eat a balanced diet...If you know you are allergic to something of course you should avoid that....The thing is we are all looking for a miracle cure and as of yet there is none but we will still keep looking! Our wacky immune syustems aren't going to be changed by our diets!
