I've got some Dead Sea Salts coming in the mail that I bought cheap from Ebay. I'll post my findings after I've tried them. Has anyone ever tried them before?
LF
Ladyfrazer - No, I haven't tried the Dead Sea Salts yet, I've been wanting to.
Heard a lot of good things about it though. Let us know the results of it & what you thought of it.
Good Luck with it.
Thanks, HEPS

I use dead sea salts and find that they don't dry out the skin. Used to use bubble baths etc and skin used to be sore and weepy. Seems to be less angry too.

A well-meaning friend told me to try a seaweed wrap, and when I didn't, she bought me this body scrub made from seaweed. It's a "SPA" - that's the brand - product that is sold in Nordstroms - a little pricey.
Just out of curiousity, I tried it on my pustular p and it actually did some noticeable good.
And it smells nice and leaves your skin soft, too!

[SIZE=3][FONT=century gothic][COLOR=darkred];) hi all! I started biofeedback in January and was even hypnotized and it has helped with my psoriatic arthritis so much. I have the arthritis very bad and I do take perscription drug for the pain also. At present I am not treating my skin lesions. I bath with Dove liquid sensitive skin soap. I am going to see a dermatologist because my rheumatologist is making me !lol!
bath salts always make mine worse. Any kind. I would love to hear anything on how to help my nails. Good luck to all of you.
To Lady Fraser, your name scares me everytime I see it as it's my old name (1st hubby). He's on number 4 now, but he's in Atlanta.

If we count all the "Oils and Greases" I use these everyday. Between medications I have to find something to keep P from drying out. I've poked holes in all the oily vitamins and smeared it on. My Dr. suggested I try Flax seed oil. I take the tablets every day, but I also poked a hole in these too. Works OK, thin and spreads easy. Not too sure of the smell, but I only use it at home. Creams don't work, they are "gone" before I get them on.

I, too, have tried almost everything. When first diagnosed, my Dr. gave me several different steroid creams. Then they gave me more steroid creams.
I've tried the diet remedies, herbal remedies, creams, lotions and oils. A few days ago, I bought some of the St. Ives Extra Relief Collagen Elastin lotion and so far, it looks like it may be having a little positive effect.

I have used dead sea salts, and they work well. They are one of my primary products. I have a variety of products that I use when I think I need them(they are the ones that have worked great, but started to lose their effectivness at some point).
Lahdove-
Let us know how taking the flax internally is working out for you, how much do you take a day?
I take it, it was about 3 months before I saw any drastic effects, but I did see a great amount of clearing(I also use a hemp seed oil cream along with it). And the clearing has lasted.
Now I am dealing with the tan lines around where I had the P last year(before it cleared), it looks real funky, but man it is better to deal with the skin tone spots than the pink ones.

Don't think I can help you. It looks like you've taken it longer than I have. I just started in May. I'm taking 1000mg. a day. How much are you taking? I'm encouraged that you have inprovement. Did you try poking a hole in it yet and using the oil on the P? I think it helps the itch.

Lahdove-
Well, I started taking it during a very bad flare up, and I was taking 3 capsuls 3X a day. Now I take 2 capsuls 2X a day. And they are 1000mg capsuls. I only take that many under advise from a trusted sourse though.
It seems like alot, but that is what I take.
I have not poked one open yet though- I used to do that with vitamin E & evening primrose capsuls when I was younger, and found some relief.
I do hope that you keep in touch though, I have not heard of anyone else here taking this for their P, and it would be nice to hear if you have had any results. Thanks !!
