cleansing diet

Hi to everybody!!! I'm a new member but I've had P since the age of 18 (I'm now 27). The first time I had it my dermatologist started me on a steroid which he himself makes and on lights. I cleared completely in a few months and never had it since. I started having them again last year (this is my worst flare) and nothing has been very effective. I'm new in the country and before I left home, I was on lights and betahmethasone. My dermatologist here has started me on a less potent topical steroid and we are continuing my light treatment but I really don't see any improvement. The P is already all over my body. I want to try other methods. I surfed the internet and saw something about this diet for us. Can anyone tell me about there own experiences with this cleansing diet? Does it work?

Its prob, the Paganos diet and if so, nothing has been conclusive, its vrey restrictive and honestly prob doesnt work...........i tried and it did nothing

however, i am an atkins nut.........................LC helps me alot, but i have a rare allergy to glucose, so LC is prob the best for me anyways

Have a looksy at the diet threads.........a load of info for the Paganos and Atkins and other diets!

i think that its very spilt for the diet theory but cleansing the Body is always a good thing

Dr Pagano has appeared on PBS a number of times, so I suppose if you look up Pagano on the PBS website, there might be some info on a past or future show on the PBS schedule for your area (?). In the PBS show, one of the main topics he works over is the use of diet to reduce inflammation.

Changing my diet has NEVER worked for me. Give it a try if you want, just don't buy all those books about it. Most are pure snake oil. If you really need someone to send your money to, send it to the NPF. They are closer to helping find a cure than anyone else.

true, dont spend any cash...but if you are going to try LC diet, then its all on the web whatcha need to know!
