anybody having p applied for short term disability

Just curious, has anybody out there applied for Short term disability. Wondering how insurance companies handle this decease.

I am in the appeal process for my short term disability coverage through my employer. It has been a very stressful experience.
They initially approved me Feb 6 to April 15, then denied me based on a lack of information. I will hear by Aug 17. I am providing lots of information from my doctors.
What's making me crazy is that my personal Long Term policy has approved coverage to Oct 15 with the same information.
My experience says have an attorney ready, keep a log of your doctor visits, medications etc.
