Hi everyone. I was wondering if anyone has any information about psoriasis while pregnant. I have a mild case of P on my body since the age of 19 and I am 22 now. I am also pregnant with my second child and is worried about transferring it to him. My oldest daughter 7, does not have it and shows no signs of it atm. Hopefully never will. Any info. will be very helpful. Thanks so much.

Hi,
I just had my second child, but my first since my diagnosis. THe good thing I discovered that p goes into hiding while pregnant. It might have been in the pamphlet listed in the Patient Care person-ma-jig recommended but it really did go almost into remission. It did come back worse but I am happy to report- i had a bouncing, baby boy five and a half months ago.
I am worried and paranoid that every spot he gets are the early signs of p. The only thing I can do-we can do- is be there when our kids need us and get them help.
On the brightest side yet- as they age, the time will draw closer and closer to a cure or an antidote.
'til then, be glad you have someone to be with and go ahead, welcome that little life if you want!
Good luck and god bless.

Sorry to say remission during pregnancy doesn't happen for everyone. I got worse. It may have been due to not drinking enough water during my pregnancy....it made me sick. So, the bowels were slowed and allowed toxins to flow more. Be glad if you do go into remission! I hope to next pregnancy!

Sorry about pulling up this old thread here..just wanted to place some input relative to it is all from my standpoint. ;)
I have had P for 18 years now. I have 5 kids which have been born since my DX of P. None of them have shown any signs of having P..and hopefully never will. I am currently pregnant with our 6th child and hope the same will entail for her as well.
The closest any of my children have come to any type of derm thing going on is my oldest child/dtr..she is almost 16 at this time and a couple of years ago started with exzema. Her flare ups of this are few and far between and also encompass only a small % of her body too.
My P flare ups went away with my pregnancies..except for the present oe..arghh.

I've had both situations. First pregnancy the P flared, the second it cleared, the third (and final!) the P flared again! Who knows!
