Hi everyone,

I've been reading a lot of you having problems with your health insurance. If any of you need some help, I've been doing medical/health HMO, PPOs, indemnity and others let me know. I can't promise I can make a difference but I might be able to help in directing you. I use to work for Hospitals, and am an insurance agent so maybe I can help. I love hassling with insurance companies, been doing it for over 24 years! And doctors too!!! All of them!! I think attorneys are more expensive and annoying then doctors. I needed to get an attorney and I about fell out fo the chair! They aren't saving humanity, their not curing p or other dreadful things so why must they charge so much? They are a big part of health care costs, along, with hospitals, docs, insurance companies and pharmachuetical companies!
OHHHHHH< just get me going!!!!!!!!!!

For those of you who are newer to these boards, and may not know about it, NPF has an Advocacy Service to help members with these and other similar issues. You can find information and how to contact them under the Resources tab.

I have personally met one of the advocates, Robert Gassner, and found him to be a great resource, and very helpful. This is a relatively new area, so they are still working on contacts, but are involved in insurance issues, working with the FDA, disability, etc.

CoachG,

I send you a note on this and basically yes, they should have sent you a notice. I'll explain in the note. There are things you can do. Did your employer get new coverage? If yes what kind if you know? Most group plans, depending on the number of members will not have a pre-exsisting clause, especially if it's an HMO.

Talk to you soon, I'm in Nevada so we have a three hour time change. I just logged on here at 10:30 p.m. so its like 1:30 your time, sorry!
