I need insurance to help cover psoriasis treatment (right now, it's methotrexate and all the associated blood tests). Anyone have positive experience with insurance providers and psoriasis? I'm getting treatment at the state university in california, and want to continue with my current Dr. I'm paying out of pocket now, but it's expensive! I also don't want to have to start over seeing some primary care physician...Advice please!

Insurance is best through an employer. Odds are you have to deal with someone in the group they supply. Seldom do they have free to roam contracts, although you can be lucky.

If you cannot get insurance through work, you may check out the state insurance commissioner, the internet or such for leads.

I have had terriblr experiences w/ insurance companies until now. I also live in California. Have you tried Kaiser? I know they have a bad rep., but I recently joined. It took only 1 week to get an appt. w/ a derm. He approved Amevive for me. Of the $12,000. cost for 12 weeks, I pay only my $10.00 co-pay every 4 weeks.
I was always a big sceptic of Kaiser, but now I am so happy with my insurance for the first time.
