Already diagnosed, no insurance now...

Hi all,

New member here. I was diagnosed several years ago and have since lost my insurance. Recently my conditioned has become much much worse and OTC seems to have little if any affect, my scalp is the worst. DOes anyone know of any discounted perscription places. I can go to a community health center, but it's the scrips that will be the financial undoing. Thanks to any and all....

Welcome to the Board. :cool: I'm sorry to hear that you're going through such a rough time. :( When you go to the community health center, ask them if they have any samples that they can give you. You can also ask them if they deal with any local or mail order drug stores that are willing to work with their patients. You can also try www.needymeds.com. It sounds like a scam site, but several people have posted here that they've been helped by it. If you use your $$ wisely to see doc's, they can, if they are willing to work with you, prescribe older, cheaper RX medicine, Sometimes it is cheaper than OTC.

But, you gotta tell them about no money and also see if you can get ideas ahead of time from here on this website.

Depending on where you live, there are also a lot of studies going on that are looking for people to participate. That is one option. Also, If you do go to a Dr., a lot of them will load you up with free samples.
