Many of you have been so kind to cheer me on regarding my fight for my insurance company to pay for Enbrel that I wanted to share with you what has happened to date. Well, several conversations, appeals from my doctor, and one attorney involvement later, we have finally won approval. I talked with the company this morning and they are hopefully shipping my medication even as we speak. It was a long fight and while there is no guarantee of success, my doctor feels that this is my best bet so far. I appreciate so much the good wishes that I received from so many. To anyone out there who is still fighting with their own insurance company, all I can offer is keep on fighting. I wrote my representative in congress, bartered computer work with my attorney to obtain legal assistance I couldn't afford, and called the insurance company with every piece of information I could find. For the first time in two years I have a ray of hope.

It is sooooooooooooo nice to hear of someone who has "won" in this crazy system they call insurance. Good going!!!! Also, good luck on the Enbrel. I have been on it (9 shots so far) and am seeing improvement. Please keep us all updated and, again, a big congratulations to you!!

good luck dude, ive been on 3 1/2 months and its changed my life, almsot no arthritis and no swollen or tender joints to speak of... and i did NOT have a light case of arthritis, it took me forever to get out of bed and walking was excrutiating, no im jogging again and weight training again with NO problems. enbrel worked for me virtually next day for the arthritis except for in my hands and feet were it was really bad, but as of the last shot i took 4 days ago i havnt had any arhtritis pains.... beautiful man, beautiful, cant describe how good it feels to not be in constant excrutiating pain, i wish you the best of luck with this med, and if it doesnt work for you there are the other biologics out there :) good luck man
