Your killin me!

Broccoli is naturally occuring in nature.
Right after Eve bit the apple, she grabbed some broccoli to cover herself.
Everyone knows that!

FOR EVERYONE BUT ESPECIALLY THE ....................
......................... initiator of the thread. These are two GK(general knowledge) "stumpers" - if you need to look them up(you're stumped by the way), don't post, it could be interesting to see how long and who holds these two "nuggets in a pile of manure"(translated rather than post the Latin) connected to one of America's most widely read, well known and renowned satirists. If you have a guess(put guess in Title), but are unsure, post it and I'll PM you - cold, warm, hot or 100% correct will be the return message. Where are our "literatae" when we need them?
Mark Twain was the pseudonym used by Samuel Clemens - Did Mr. Clemens have a middle name or use a middle initial? If so what is/are they/it?
Connect Mark Twain's(pseudonym as words) significance to the writing of the man.
RES GESTAE!
NO NEED, YOU .............................................
........................ did it for me. That's what happens when you bang it out from memory! Thank you Sister Mary Margaret - no need for knuckle tapping! LOL! Did you know that because that is your work(illustration posted)?
ANTE TUBAM TREPIDAT!
Raffle tickets should ..............................
................. be kept for about a week after the drawing date, unless stated on the ticket. Such as: Winners will be notified within 90 days. Otherwise, if you don't hear in a week, you're a loser.
Thought the bird was the sparrow. Non indiginous too. Where's Lottie on this one?
Chaim(AD MULTOS ANNOS), you disappoint, when I saw your name after getting "flagged", figured it would be you answering the second part to the Samuel Langhorne Clemens stumper. There is a hint in GitOverIt's post, who by the way, wasn't stumped by L/Langhorne.
ABSIT INVIDIA!
YOU TWO ARE ................................
................. GOOD! For extra points tell us what the exact measurment of "twains" are - obviously we'll be looking this one up. Adding this little bit of info will give us the complete answer, that which I was seeking! But hey, the judges have ruled - you got it! Regardless, interesting little piece of Samuel Langhorne Clemens, no? Very clever man.
SAPERE AUDE!
DO YOU MEAN TO TELL ME ...........................
....................... that burple is NOT a word? Uh oh!
Lottie, what is the answer to the bird question?
Chaim, no Twain in your library? If in fact you do test drive something, make sure it's unabridged. Lots of sanitized stuff around, especially public library or public school - keep the chilrun safe!
MORTUO LEONI ET LEPORES INSULTANT!
WHEW! We don't need to look to Shakespeare ..........
..................... only to our own community. Our creative genius wordsmith(who would never taut their genius) is: MOLLY! So if you have any "word" questions, now you know where to go.
Molly, I'm still working on walking that cat back from 2024(?). Drowning in your BURSQUE love! LOL!
Creaky, my guess is that it is a unit of measure used to mark square acreage - but it is metric or something and I am unfamiliar with the forward or reverse calculus used to configure the mass of land or it's relation say to, acres, square miles or the like. How's that for BRUTUM FULMEN?
Chaim, you got it! Specifically, a marked twain(the space between the markers) is two fathoms, a fathom is 6', there you have it!
Cat Whoaman, Latin it is - and like those Jesuits used to say right before they put a foot to your behind, "This fine institution DOES have a library, go find out for yourself!"
ANIMUS MEMINISSE HORRET!
OH Lottie, sorry to inform you ...........................
.......................... but you have just been stripped of your "Bird
Whoaman of NPF" title! LOL! ANYBODY? That was my guess too, sparrow, remember reading a story about them being so clever that they were the cause and effect for the "milk box". Took people awhile to figure out what was happening - pre-dawn, the sparrows would remove the lids(remember when they were cardboard?) get their daily dose of calcium and go merrily on their way. Albeit a little slower due to a belly full of milk. If you have ever watched for them in the pre-dawn hours they are extremely hard to detect - you keep thinking they are "flashbacks" from your "hippie" days, or so I'm told. LOL! But the clincher - non-indiginous! Birds, talk about "whasckeley"!
Somebody give it up, this is killing me! I heard that!
ANTE LUCEM!
CROWS, absolutely North American ........................
................................ but I'm sticking with Sparrows as my pick for sheer numbers.
Anybody? Who posted the question? Would you please give it up before we have to GOOGLE!?
MIRUM IN MODUM!
NO HEARTBURN ..............................................
.......................................... insomnia. The person who posted this particular stumper was kmartwick(Foundation Staff) and I really wish they'd give it up, SOON, curiosity is killing me and I've already used up several lives to date. Prefer not to "waste" one in this situation, thank you!
SAPIENS QUI PROSPICIT!, kmartwick!
FOR CARD SHARKS AND SIR THOMAS MALORY AFICIANADOS
The Jack of Clubs represents a Knight of the Round Table. Which one?
BRUTUM FULMEN!
KAREN MARTWICK! COME ON DOWN!
We are stumped, unless someone answered the question and you weren't paying attention.
Please give us the answer? I've pulled a muscle in my head!
Margaret
THE CARD THING WAS SOME PRETTY .......................
............................................. obscure GK, something I figured NO ONE would know. Nice research and background info Git. I only enjoy one card game - GIN, some strategy involved, unlike other card games - simply the luck of the draw(unless you're counting). Was standing over DAW's shoulder at a Black Jack table(C note per hand), I was watching the cards being dealt and started to wonder about the "symbolism". The dealer busted BUT picked up everyones cards and chips(DAW and the other two players had become hypnotized(?) from winning about 8/9 hands in a row). STOP! You fuking idiots I said in a rather loud voice as the dealer raked the chips and cards. You busted - 9+9+4=22! What a comotion! Pit Boss, went to the tape, crowd of people - got it straightened out AND got DAW out of that room. LOL! Went up to our room(we were attending a Convention) - told DAW to stay put until further notice and I went to the public PC and started my research on cards and what they symbolize. Never imagined. Cool stuff though.
OK, granny, every time I get a few minutes I'm working on YOUR stumper. Got out the Scrabble letters. This is a SMOKIN' STUMPER, I know it's out there - a student at school brought it to class 2 or 3 years ago and the kids worked on it for days. Can recall the scene like a photo - the words just will not appear. I'm not giving up, YET! LOL! I'm ready to start going through my folders of USELESS BULLCHIT, I know it's in there but I would prefer not to uh, well um, you know cheat. To be sure I'll turn myself in if I do. LOL!
SPARROWS! C'mon!

LONGEST WORD WITH ONLY 1 VOWEL IN IT!
I have NO idea what those words are... I can think of a 2 but they dont have ALL the vowels (no Y and they certainly are not in order of AEIOU)
So, Im out of this question.
However, I can add a little to it-
What is the longest word in our dictionary that has only 1 vowel in the word?
 Have fun!
