2004 Chief Residents' Meeting

Wrap-up: 2004 meeting another success
First posted Nov. 2, 2004
Each year the National Psoriasis Foundation presents a one-and-a-half day program focusing on educating dermatology chief residents on the full range of treatment options for the management of psoriasis. In addition to attending lectures, participants have the opportunity to interact with distinguished faculty and other chief residents during workshops, social functions and scheduled free time.
The 118 attendees, representing 73 percent of dermatology programs, marked the sixth annual 2004 Chief Residents' Meeting as the all-time high for participation. The success of the conference was apparent since 94 percent of the 94 surveys received rated the overall event "excellent" and six percent rated it "good."
In addition, 98 percent of those surveyed rated their awareness and comfort level regarding treating patients with psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis as "good to excellent" as a direct result of attending this meeting.
Feedback from the participants:
- "Thorough coverage of the options and focus on usage tips and techniques for practicing MDs very helpful."
- "Your speakers were engaging and highly informative inspiration to be better derms ..."
- "All information was practical and not biased by pharmaceutical representation."
- "Great update on psoriasis ... lectures were so good I didn't miss a single one. It far exceeded my expectations!!!"
