2009 Grant Program
In March, the National Psoriasis Foundation awarded five $50,000 pilot project grants to support advancement of both basic and clinical research into the cause and cure of psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis.
The purpose of pilot project grants is to provide support for innovative early stage ideas. These grants are designed to allow the investigator to determine whether their idea is worth pursuing and use the findings to secure longer-term funding for their projects.
Award amount
Up to $50,000 direct costs for one year
Application
**Note: the 2009 grant cycle is closed.**
Grant Review
The applications are reviewed by the National Psoriasis Foundation Scientific Review Committee. Reviewers for each application will be chosen based on their expertise and the absence of real or perceived conflicts of interest
Deadlines
The deadline for the pilot project grant applications is Oct. 20, 2008. Awardees will be notified by Feb. 1, 2009 and awards will be made by March 1, 2009
