Treating psoriasis

Specific locations: skin folds

Inverse psoriasis can occur in skin folds such as the armpits and under the breasts. This form of psoriasis is frequently irritated by rubbing and sweating.

Weaker corticosteroids are often used to treat inverse psoriasis in skin folds. These areas can be prone to yeast or fungal infections, so corticosteroids are sometimes used in combination with other medications.

Do not occlude skin folds unless directed by a doctor.
