The National Psoriasis Foundation (Psoriasis Foundation) is committed to protecting privacy for everyone who contacts the Psoriasis Foundation, registers on its Web site and becomes a Member.
The Psoriasis Foundation's Privacy Policy promises that personal information, including the data transmitted between computers, paper records and membership information will only be used to better serve Psoriasis Foundation Members and the public. The Psoriasis Foundation does not release Members' or ex-Members' information to any person, organization or company for any reason, at any time.
The Psoriasis Foundation may, from time to time, aggregate information provided by Members and others who contact the Psoriasis Foundation for information. This means the Psoriasis Foundation may group nonpersonal membership and "contact" information, e.g., zip codes, geographical regions, ages, to better understand those we serve. The aggregate nonpersonal information is also shared, occasionally, with the Psoriasis Foundation's corporate partners and other entities. Nonpersonal information is kept in aggregate form and contains no personal identifiers. It cannot be used to recognize or get in touch with contacts or Members. The Psoriasis Foundation never releases personal information to anyone for any reason.
Contacts or Members may, however, "opt-in" to receive information from the Psoriasis Foundation's corporate partners or other entities or to be contacted by the Psoriasis Foundation, its corporate partners or other entities with information about those partners or entities and their programs and products.
The Psoriasis Foundation's work is to provide information about psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis to the public. If someone provides a postal address, e-mail address or telephone number, the Psoriasis Foundation may contact him or her with the following intent:
- to notify individuals about Psoriasis Foundation-sponsored events, to provide additional information about psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis or to introduce services;
- to invite individuals to join the Psoriasis Foundation in its mission of educating the public and supporting research;
- to give a comprehensive response to individual questions, comments or proposals;
- to ask for financial support of the Psoriasis Foundation through membership, renewal of membership or other means.
The Psoriasis Foundation understands the importance of security in personal and medical information, and is committed to protecting privacy on the Internet and on paper. Questions or concerns about privacy-related matters should be directed to the Psoriasis Foundation at 503.244.7404 or 800.723.9166. The Psoriasis Foundation is prepared to discuss the information we collect and how that information is used at the Psoriasis Foundation.

If a user chooses the option to be automatically logged into the Web site when they return, a single cookie will remain on their computer in order to allow this to happen.
The Psoriasis Foundation does not use cookies to track any information about Friends and Members other than the date of log in.
Youth: information collection and handling
The "Youth" section of the Psoriasis Foundation Web site includes several pages where children are directly asked to provide certain personal information. This information is limited to:
- first name, age, country of residence and e-mail address (on pages where children submit a question);
- first name only and e-mail address (on specific message boards for kids, youth and teens; e-mail address is optional).
The Psoriasis Foundation uses the information to help provide the most appropriate and thorough answer to questions, or in the case of the message boards, to help children identify themselves to other message board participants. E-mail addresses will only be used when necessary to seek more detailed information in order to answer a submitted question, when it is appropriate for providing a private answer to a question or when it is necessary to make direct contact because of a message post on message boards.
Information about children is not collected for any other purposes, including marketing back to the children or disclosure to a third party.
