World Psoriasis Day is Oct. 29. Take action!

Psoriasis isn’t limited by borders. There are 125 million people around the world who live every day with this disease. Fortunately, the fight against psoriasis isn’t limited by borders, either.
 
The International Federation of Psoriasis Association (IFPA) represents 55 countries, from Argentina to Vietnam. Every year for more than 10 years, IFPA has sponsored World Psoriasis Day on Oct. 29. This day – conceived by patients, for patients – is when we unite as a global community with these goals:
  • To fight prejudice, stigmatization and discrimination;
  • To raise awareness, understanding and hope; and
  • To gain access to proper diagnosis, treatment and an improved quality of life.
This year, the National Psoriasis Foundation (NPF) wants everyone to take action towards a better understanding of psoriatic disease. Since World Psoriasis Day is on a Sunday, NPF invites you to participate in a weekend of action. 
 
We’ve created a web page where you can find suggested actions to take, from learning about new treatment options and cooking a healthy, balanced meal, to getting more sleep and talking with someone about psoriasis. All of the actions listed will help you live a healthier life with psoriasis. The site also has a cool calendaring feature that will allow you to schedule your action on your digital calendar so you won’t forget it. 
 
We hope you’ll join us and the millions of people across the United States and around the world who will commit to take at least one action towards living a better life with psoriasis.
