Palmoplantar Pustulosis (PPP) Study - Enrolling
Palmoplantar Pustulosis (or PPP) is a rare, chronic inflammatory skin condition affecting the palms and/or soles of the feet. It is characterized by small, painful, recurrent white-to-brown spots on the hands and feet on a background of red, flaky skin. It may occur in patients who also have plaque psoriasis on other parts of the body.
Oregon Medical Research Center is conducting a clinical research study to evaluate the efficacy of an investigational topical cream for adults with mild to severe PPP. If you have experienced PPP symptoms for at least 6 months, you may qualify. The study lasts up to 22 weeks and participation is voluntary with no costs or health insurance is required. Compensation for time and travel reimbursement may be provided.
Palmoplantar Pustulosis can make everyday activities difficult, and there is currently no FDA-approved treatment for PPP. Your participation may help improve your symptoms and advance the understanding and future treatment options for PPP.
