Di Yan, M.D.

Psoriasis - Dr. Yan has had a longstanding clinical and research interest in psoriatic disease. She currently runs the psoriasis subspecialty clinic at the University of Wisconsin-Madison where she loves working with and learning from her patients in their journey with psoriatic disease. She is also committed to pushing psoriatic disease research forward and has been awarded competitive fellowships and research grants through the National Psoriasis Foundation and the Group for Research and Assessment of Psoriasis and Psoriatic Arthritis (GRAPPA). Her current research focuses on the role of the microbiome in guttate psoriasis. Dermatopathology- In addition to clinical dermatology, Dr. Yan is a board certified dermatopathologist, examining skin biopsies under the microscope to guide the diagnosis and treatment of skin disease. She also applies her dermatopathology expertise to harness next generation molecular biology techniques like spatial transcriptomics, which help us understand what immune cells are doing in different parts of the skin.
