NPF Medical Professional Awards

Award Categories

Outstanding Educator in Psoriatic Disease

Nominee will have demonstrated significant, long-term national or international contributions to psoriatic disease education, with evidence of benefit to recipients of education and of current activities in the field.

Publications and teaching experience are factors in the selection process.

Nominee must be a current professional member of the National Psoriasis Foundation.

Contributions and volunteer service to both national and international psoriatic disease organizations and the broader psoriatic disease community may also be considered.

Outstanding Physician-Clinician Award (Dermatology and Rheumatology)

Nominee is actively involved in the clinical care of patients with psoriasis or psoriatic arthritis.

Nominee is recognized and highly regarded as a clinician and educator of health care professionals with more than 10 years of distinguished service.

Nominee is well-known nationally or internationally for exceptional clinical knowledge and expertise.

Nominee has outstanding track record of sharing his/her expertise with other health care professionals as documented by presentations and/or authorship of books/articles/reference materials.

Nominee must be a current professional member of the National Psoriasis Foundation.

Contributions and volunteer service to both national and international psoriatic disease organizations and the broader psoriatic disease community may also be considered.

Health Professional Volunteer of the Year Award

Nominee is actively involved in the clinical care of patients with psoriasis or psoriatic arthritis and highly regarded as a clinician with more than five years of distinguished service.

Nominee must have been actively involved with NPF at the affiliate, local or national level within the past five years, and have a history of contributions to NPF goals and objectives that can be demonstrated by at least two of the following: Committee member, news contributor, events chairperson, events volunteer, speaker

Nominee must be a current professional member of the National Psoriasis Foundation.

Contributions and volunteer service to both national and international psoriatic disease organizations and the broader psoriatic disease community may also be taken into consideration.

Advanced Provider Award

Nominee is actively involved in the clinical care of patients with psoriasis or psoriatic arthritis.

Nominee is recognized and highly regarded as a clinician with more than five years of distinguished service.

Nominee is well-known nationally or internationally for exceptional clinical knowledge and expertise.

Nominee must be a current professional member of the National Psoriasis Foundation.

Contributions and volunteer service to both national and international psoriatic disease organizations and the broader psoriatic disease community may also be taken into consideration.

Nomination Process

  • Nominations are now closed.
  • Nominations are accepted from a clinician’s peers, patients, or staff of NPF.
  • Include a short statement on why you are nominating your provider or colleague.
  • Nomination letters should address the criteria for selection (above).
  • Include curriculum vitae with career, mentoring, and publication highlights.
  • Include a list of current and former mentees/trainees.

Award Process

  • All recipients are chosen by the NPF medical board awards committee. 
  • Awards are presented in Spring.
