NPF Launches New PsA Wellness Category in Seal of Recognition Program

Alexandria, VA. February 12, 2026- The National Psoriasis Foundation (NPF) has enhanced the NPF Seal of Recognition with a new Psoriatic Arthritis (PsA) Wellness category. More than 8 million people in the U.S. who live with psoriatic disease rely on the NPF Seal of Recognition, which highlights brands that have demonstrated a commitment to creating gentle, safe, non-irritating products.

The new PsA Wellness category promotes products developed to make life with joint pain and mobility challenges less painful and difficult. About 1 in 3 people who experience psoriasis go on to develop PsA, a chronic, painful, and potentially disabling disease that can lead to permanent joint damage. Tilt Beauty was the inaugural company in the new category. Their commitment to beautiful, gentle cosmetics in easy-to-handle cases with a patented grippy texture made them an obvious choice to launch this new category. In addition to designing easy-to-handle products, Tilt Beauty’s cosmetics are formulated to ensure that they are safe for those with psoriasis and other inflammatory, sensitive skin conditions.

“I’m incredibly proud to offer this new category of recognition to the millions in our community impacted by PsA,” says Leah M. Howard, J.D., the President and CEO of NPF. “The products that will continue to fill these pages were made with our community in mind. It’s wonderful to have easy-to-use products that make life simpler and less painful for anyone with arthritis.”

“At Tilt Beauty, we’re committed to creating cosmetics that make life easier for people living with chronic pain,” said Aerin Glazer, founder of Tilt Beauty, who was diagnosed with PsA at age 13. “Earning the Seal of Recognition as the first in the PsA wellness category is both a proud moment for Tilt and a testament to the innovation and intention behind our products. We hope that everyone living with PsA can experience the joy and confidence that comes with beauty.”

“One of the differentiating factors of PsA is its impact on the hands and the enthesis – where tendons and bone connect. The disease can have an outsized impact on the hands and feet, which makes life very difficult,” says Soumya M. Reddy, M.D., a rheumatologist at the New York University Orthopedic Center and member of the NPF Medical Board. “People with PsA deserve to put on make-up and feel beautiful, without struggling to get their product open. They have a right to open a jar or put on clothes without pain. With the products in this new NPF Seal of Recognition category, people with PsA can get a little of their confidence and independence back.”

New products will be added to the PsA Wellness section upon earning the NPF Seal of Recognition. To obtain the NPF Seal, products submit independent testing results and data to a panel of psoriatic disease specialists and patients. Products are evaluated for safety, non-irritation, and gentleness for people with psoriasis or PsA, as well as those with severely sensitive skin and joint mobility limitations.
