NPF Seal of Recognition Awarded to Ilumya® for Ease of Use Ability

Alexandria, Virginia, August 6, 2026

The National Psoriasis Foundation (NPF) is pleased to announce that Sun Pharma’s Ilumya® has earned the NPF Seal of Recognition for its ease of usability and safety. This is the first systemic prescription medication to earn the Seal.

Unlike self-administered injectable therapies, Ilumya® is administered by a healthcare professional in a clinical setting, eliminating the need for patients to prepare or self-inject their medication. For many people living with psoriasis, self-injection can present a significant physical challenge and may contribute to treatment burden.

By removing the physical demands of self-administration, Ilumya® supports a more accessible treatment experience. This patient-centered approach aligns with the National Psoriasis Foundation's Seal of Recognition criteria, which recognize products that help reduce barriers and support the unique needs of people living with psoriasis.

Products earn the NPF Seal of Recognition by submitting independent lab data to a panel of experts who review for safety. Companies and products that earn the NPF Seal of Recognition have demonstrated a commitment to creating safe products for the more than 8 million people in the U.S. and 125 million people worldwide who are impacted by psoriasis.

“We are pleased to have Sun Pharma’s Ilumya® earn our coveted NPF Seal of Recognition. It shows their dedication to best serving our community,” says Leah M. Howard, J.D., the President and CEO of NPF. “The ease of usability and the safety offered by healthcare professional administered dosing can help many adults with plaque psoriasis feel at ease in receiving their treatment.”

Ilumya® (tildrakizumab-asmn) has been indicated by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for the treatment of adults with moderate-to-severe plaque psoriasis that are candidates for systemic treatments or phototherapy. [1]
