The National Psoriasis Foundation (NPF) is proud to announce the evolution of its podcast series with the launch of Psoriasis Uncovered. This new offering expands upon the success of the popular Psound Bytes™ podcast – providing more comprehensive insights into psoriasis, psoriatic arthritis, and related health conditions such as mental health, cardiovascular disease, and obesity.
The launch of Psoriasis Uncovered is a testament to NPF’s 2025-2029 Strategic Plan, which aims to optimize health outcomes for all individuals living with psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis today. Through trusted, accessible, and evidence-based education, individuals and caregivers will be empowered to understand and manage all the complexities of psoriatic disease.
“We’re not just changing the name of our podcast, we’re broadening its scope,” said Leah M. Howard, JD, President and CEO of the National Psoriasis Foundation. “With Psoriasis Uncovered, we’re diving deeper into the real-life impacts of psoriatic disease and the systemic inflammation it causes. This series will bring to light the full picture – connecting the dots between skin, joints, and the many comorbidities that often go unrecognized and untreated.”
NPF data underscore the urgent need for this type of education. According to the NPF Health Indicator Report, more than 50% of individuals with psoriatic disease report being untreated or undertreated, and many remain unaware of the increased risks of cardiovascular disease, obesity, and depression that accompany psoriatic disease. Psoriasis Uncovered will help bridge that gap – offering critical information, expert interviews, and real stories that empower the community to take action.
Psound Bytes™ isn’t going away. It will continue to operate under the same name as a series of shorter, highlight-driven episodes. This will provide listeners with “bite-sized” insights and timely takeaways from the longer-form content found in Psoriasis Uncovered.
First launched in January 2019, the NPF podcast series now features more than 250 episodes and remains available on all major platforms, including Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and the NPF website at psoriasis.org/podcast.
