Alan Shaffran

Alan Shaffran and his family have personal connections to psoriasis spanning three generations. He has served as a Senior Portfolio Manager at Magnetar since 2008 and leads Magnetar’s London office. In his role helping to manage Magnetar’s European Alternative Credit and Fixed Income portfolio, Shaffran has shepherded several health care investments, including structured drug royalty financings and the greenfield development of a hospital in Southeast England, serving on the hospital’s Board of Directors for nearly a decade.

Prior to joining Magnetar, Shaffran worked in investment banking, including 19 years at Salomon Brothers/Citi in New York and London.
