Murphy Wray

Murphy Wray oversees NPF’s extramural research grants and fellowships programs, works with volunteer KOLs to align initiatives with strategic research priorities, and serves as a co-managing editor to NPF's scientific journal. Murphy also works closely with the NPF Scientific Advisory Committee to develop relevant workshops and the annual Research Symposium.

She previously held positions at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, FDA, U.S. Pharmacopeia, USAID, and HHS, gaining more than two decades of experience in domestic & international regulatory science, malaria, HIV, medical countermeasures, and research management.

Originally from Buffalo, New York, she holds a bachelor’s degree in biology from SUNY Buffalo and a doctorate in clinical pharmacy from the University of Maryland. Outside of work, she enjoys horseback riding, scuba diving, and spending time with her family.
