Across the Rainbow: Psoriatic Disease and the LGBTQ+ Community

Being open and honest with health care providers can be difficult, but even more so for those from the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Queer (LGBTQ+) communities. This often results in health disparities for the LGBTQ+ population, including difficulty accessing health care. Join dermatologist Erica Dommasch, M.D., MPH, from Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center as she discusses the unique dermatologic needs among this underserved population. Longtime NPF volunteer Mark Parikka discusses the patient perspective, including the cross-section of living with psoriatic disease and being part of the LGBTQ+ community. Presentations are followed by a Q&A with both speakers.
