More than 8 million people in the United States rely on NPF to find the cure that will end their pain, isolation, and anguish. 2025 was a year of great progress. Discover the key highlights of the year below, or download the full 2025 Impact Report.

Advancing Toward a Cure

Driving innovative, collaborative research

The National Psoriasis Foundation is the leading nonprofit funder of psoriatic disease research in the world.

Since 1987, donor support has enabled NPF to invest over $37 million in research, empowering scientists to uncover new treatments, improve early detection, and work toward the prevention of psoriatic disease - a major milestone on the path to a cure.

Putting People First

NPF is a leader in patient centered research.

Since 1967, people with firsthand experiences of psoriatic disease have led every initiative, program, and meaningful decision at NPF. Putting people with the disease at the center of each decision keeps the organization on the path to improving lives in the ways most meaningful to the community.

In 2025, NPF advocacy and research played a critical role in gaining better access to in-home phototherapy for all skin types when we partnered with PCORI, the LITE Study team, and Elevance Health.

NPF efforts reduce stigma and drive awareness.

NPF provides trusted information to anyone impacted by psoriasis or PsA, including care takers and health care providers. Additionally, NPF marketing and public relations efforts raise critical awareness among the general public, reducing stigma by eliminating misconceptions about the disease and rebutting the misinformed with vetted, accurate health information.

How we reach people has evolved. The mission is the same.

In 1967 Beverly Foster’s then husband placed a message in the classifieds of The Oregonian. Neither of them knew it, but Beverly was about to become the founder of the National Psoriasis Foundation.

Today, we don't rely on classifieds. But the goal of connecting and supporting anyone with this disease hasn’t changed.

Building Momentum

State after state continues to reform step therapy and copay practices. The 118th Congress advanced the flagship Safe Step Act legislation as far as it has gotten to date. And already in the 119th Congress, the bill has been reintroduced and is quickly gaining cosponsors.

Funding the Mission

Standing on Solid Ground

NPF stands on rock solid financial ground. We have achieved a balanced budget, experienced growth in revenue, and maintained a very healthy reserve fund, ensuring that we can confidently invest in our mission and respond to future opportunities and challenges.

This past year, NPF further expanded its investment in crucial research to improve outcomes for those living with psoriatic disease and to move us closer to a cure. We also broadened our programs to meet the evolving needs of our community.

We remain steadfast in our belief that a cure is within reach. When that day arrives, it will be thanks to the extraordinary generosity of our supporters and the resilient spirit of our community.
