The National Psoriasis Foundation (NPF) is pleased to announce the appointment of six new board members to its esteemed Medical Board: Robert Bissonnette, M.D., FRCPC; Wendy Cantrell, DNP, CRNP; Stephen Fakharzadeh, M.D., Ph.D.; Joseph Gorelick, MSN, FNP-BC; Alice Gottlieb, M.D., Ph.D., and Wilson Liao, M.D. Together, these appointees bring a wealth of expertise spanning dermatology, rheumatology, clinical care, and research, as well as a shared commitment to advancing the NPF mission to drive efforts to cure psoriatic disease and improve the lives of all those affected.
Comprising more than 30 leading experts in the field of psoriatic disease and chaired by Andrew Blauvelt, M.D., M.B.A., the NPF Medical Board provides clinical direction, treatment guidance, and provider education oversight to the organization and its executive leaders.

NPF Medical Board members play a vital role in NPF's continuing medical education efforts by contributing both behind the scenes through program development and directly through presentations and educational activities that benefit healthcare providers and patients alike.
Additionally, members significantly contribute to the research and clinical care landscapes through the NPF Expert Manuscript program. By bringing together multidisciplinary experts, the Medical Board develops publications that not only increase the understanding of psoriatic disease, but also have the potential to influence treatment access, clinical practice, and patient care.
Most recently, the NPF Medical Board published a Primer on GLP-1 receptor agonists use in patients with psoriatic disease, which ranks among the top 5% of all research outputs tracked by Altmetric, as well as a joint statement from NPF and the International Psoriasis Council on routine testing to latent tuberculosis. The latter publication has already had a measurable impact on the therapeutic management of psoriatic disease.
