National Psoriasis Foundation Accepting Medical Professional Awards Nominations
Awards Recognize Exceptional Medical Professionals Treating Psoriatic Disease
Portland, Ore. (November 6, 2018) — Nominations are now open for the National Psoriasis Foundation, NPF, fourth annual Medical Professional Awards. These awards celebrate the medical professionals who work to better patient outcomes for those living with psoriatic disease. These professionals have joined NPF in its mission to drive efforts to cure psoriatic disease and improve the lives of all those affected.
The following six award categories represent the wide range of professionals who contribute to the advancement of the care, treatment, and research needed to effectively manage psoriatic disease.
2018 Clinician Awards Categories include;
Outstanding Educator in Psoriatic Disease honors highly meritorious efforts by health professionals in the field of psoriatic disease education.
Outstanding Physician-Clinician recognizes a physician for outstanding achievements in improving psoriatic disease clinical practice and has played a major or lasting role with national impact in improving the quality of life of patients and their families.
NPF Health Professional Volunteer of the Year recognizes a health care professional who has promoted NPF’s mission of improving the lives of people with psoriatic disease through exceptional contributions to key initiatives of the Foundation.
Outstanding Allied Health Professional recognizes an allied health professional for outstanding achievements in improving psoriatic disease clinical practice and has played a major or lasting role with national impact in improving the quality of life of patients and their families.
2018 Research Awards Categories include;
Outstanding Scientific Achievement, recognizes outstanding scientific achievement in psoriatic disease research, taking into consideration independence of thought, originality, significance of discovery, and impact on his/her area of research.
Outstanding New Investigator recognizes outstanding scientific achievement in psoriatic disease research from a graduate student, fellow, or postdoctoral researcher. This award will take into consideration independence of thought, originality, significance of discovery, and impact on his/her area of research.
Nominations will be accepted through Monday, December 31, 2018. Patients and colleagues are encouraged to nominate professionals that deserve recognition for the tireless work they do providing care and attention to their patients and the overall psoriatic disease community.
Winners of the four clinician awards will be honored at an NPF reception in conjunction with the winter American Academy of Dermatology Annual Meeting in March 2019. Winners of the two research awards will be honored at the Medical Symposium in May 2019.
