July 20, 2025PEDS25: Pediatric Psoriasis: Emerging Oral Options
This 15-minute DermDash from the 2025 Pediatrics360 Virtual Conference explores the place of oral systemic therapies in the therapeutic landscape for pediatric psoriasis management, as well as evidence-based guidance for incorporating these therapies into care.
“We have older (oral) treatments that have some efficacy but there definitely is need for laboratory monitoring of these drugs. That requires blood work and kids may not like that… We use injectable treatments predominantly for fairly severe patients… the bottom-line is kids don’t like needles. Looking forward, oral treatments that are effective may be the next option for our patients with psoriasis.” – Dr. Boni Elewski
