Director, Research & Medical Affairs
Jackie has transformed our Grants and Fellowships program introducing new procedures for system management, review, metrics for evaluation and contracting. She has led efforts for our key initiatives, the PsA Diagnostic Test grant and the PPI. She has also spearheaded the incorporation of new mechanisms such as More Than Skin Deep – Mental Health and emphasized diversity, equity and inclusion.
In addition to her roles and responsibilities, Jackie has continued to take on more leadership roles within the Research & Medical Affairs department, both within the NPF and with our external partners, contributing to the overall vision, budget and processes of the department and participating in NIAMS programs and the grants community. She has made fantastic contributions to department activities such as the Community Conference presentations, the EmPPOWER T2T study and NPF presentations and has started the Journal Club CME podcast. Jackie is spearheading the efforts for our 2021 Research Symposium and has a great event planned. She has also provided support to her NPF colleagues and to our provider/researcher community particularly during the pandemic.
