Navigating Insurance Webinar

Tuesday, August 30, 2016

Psoriasis and/or psoriatic arthritis are considered ”high risk” by insurance companies because they are lifelong conditions that are likely to require treatment at some point in time. Because of this, many patients with the disease face insurance-related obstacles in their care such as prior authorizations, denials, high out-of-pocket costs and step-therapy requirements. Navigating Insurance is a FREE online event that aims to educate patients on the steps to overcome common insurance barriers.

Presented by:

Donna Adam, Clinical Manager, Evans Dermatology

Jessica Suess, Insurance Verification Specialist, Evans Dermatology

John Earley, Patient Advocate

By the end of the program, participants will be able to:

 Identify common insurance and cost barriers to the management of psoriatic disease

 Recognize the steps that can be taken to overcome high out-of-pocket costs, denials, step-therapy requirements and prior authorizations

 Understand what is being done legislatively to combat these issues
