Pediatric Psoriasis

Dr. Lara Wine Lee-- MUSC Health, South Carolina

Roughly one-third of people with psoriasis develop the disease before age 20. This includes the almost 20,000 children under the age of 10 in the U.S. who are diagnosed with psoriasis each year.

Unfortunately, many current treatments for psoriasis are not recommended or approved for pediatric patients. Additionally, children with psoriasis often experience bullying and social stigmas at school because of their disease.

Our Pediatric Psoriasis Webinar is a FREE online event that aims to increase education among parents and caregivers by outlining the prevalence of psoriatic disease among pediatric patients, identifying disease manifestation, examining quality of life impacts and exploring treatment considerations.
